½ cup grated parmesan cheese
1 bunch fresh asparagus
1 sheet puff pastry, defrosted
1 tablespoon honey mustard
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt, to taste

Steps
Chop the woody ends off a fresh bunch of asparagus
Carefully cut your asparagus in half lengthwise if the stalks are really thick
Lay out a defrosted sheet of puff pastry on a piece of parchment paper
Roll the puff pastry out into a thin rectangle that is at least 10 by 16 inches in size and transfer to a baking sheet
Gently score a 1 inch border around the inside of the rolled out puff pastry
Use a fork to prick holes and dock the inside of the pastry
Spread about 1 tablespoon of honey mustard in a smooth even layer in the center rectangle of the pastry
Sprinkle the grated jarlsberg cheese all over the mustard
Lay out the trimmed and halved asparagus on top alternating ends facing back and forth
Lightly brush the tops of the asparagus with a tablespoon of olive oil
Season with a dash of salt and some black pepper to taste
Sprinkle the freshly grated parmesan cheese all over the asparagus
Brush the beaten egg all over the outer border of the puff pastry
Bake the asparagus tart in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 to 20 minutes and remove when golden brown
