Snowball Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened

  • ⅓ cup sugar

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 2 teaspoons milk

  • 2 cups sifted flour

  • ½ cup chopped pecans

  • Confectioners sugar


Steps

  1. Cream the butter and the sugar in a stand mixer until light and fluffy

  2. Mix in the milk and vanilla extract

  3. Sift, spoon and level 2 cups of flour

  4. Gradually add in the sifted flour and alternate mixing on low speed until no more visible flour remains

  5. Add in the chopped nuts and mix well

  6. Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes

  7. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit

  8. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper

  9. Roll the cookies into balls about 1 inch in diameter and transfer to the parchment paper lined tray

  10. Bake the cookies for 12 minutes

  11. Remove the cookies from the oven and allow to cool

  12. Add some confectioners sugar to a small bowl

  13. Place the baked cookies in the confectioners sugar and evenly coat all sides of the cookie
