Christmas Ham

Ingredients

  • ½ cup raspberry preserves

  • 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar

  • ¼ teaspoon tabasco hot sauce

  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard

  • ½ teaspoon minced garlic

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • 1 spiral sliced, fully cooked, bone-in half ham

Steps

  1. Put all the ingredients, except for the ham, in a small saucepan and heat on the stove until mixed an all the sugar is dissolved

  2. Remove the ham from its packaging and place in a large roasting pan

  3. Spread two thirds of the raspberry glaze all over the top and sides of the ham.

    1. If possible, try to get some glaze in between the slices of the ham at the top

  4. Lightly tent the ham with some tin foil, being careful to not let the tin foil actually touch the ham or its glaze

  5. Bake the glazed ham in the oven at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 10 minutes per pound

  6. Remove the ham from the oven and increase the temperature to 425 degrees Fahrenheit

  7. Uncover the tin foil from the ham and spread the remaining raspberry glaze all over the top

  8. When the oven is heated, place the ham back in the oven, uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes

  9. Take the ham out of the oven to serve and enjoy
