  • 1 10.5 ounce can cream of chicken soup

  • 1 cup milk

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese blend

  • 1 ½ cup French fried onions, divided

  • Black pepper

  2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil

  3. Place the green beans in the boiling water and blanch for 6 to 8 minutes until just tender

  4. Drain the green beans and run under cold water to shock and stop the cooking process

  6. Add the drained green beans and stir

  7. Season with some black pepper to taste

  8. Lightly grease a 9 inch by 13 inch baking dish

  9. Transfer the green bean mixture to the baking dish

  10. Bake the green bean casserole at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes

  11. Remove the casserole from the oven and top with the remaining half of the fried onions

  12. Bake for 5 more minutes until the onions are golden brown
