Lia's Brownies

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter, plus more for the pan

  • 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate

  • 2 cups sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ teaspoon salt


Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit

  2. Line a 9 inch by 13 inch pan with tin foil and thoroughly grease the foil with butter

  3. Melt ½ cup butter and chocolate together*

  4. Add 1 cup of flour, 2 cups of sugar, and a ½ teaspoon of salt to a large bowl

  5. In a separate bowl, lightly beat 3 eggs and the vanilla extract**

  6. When butter and chocolate have melted, allow to cool for a few minutes

  7. Pour the melted butter and chocolate into flour mixture and stir

  8. Add in egg mixture and mix everything together

  9. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spread evenly

  10. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean***

  11. Let the pan cool completely, then lift the brownies out using the foil

  12. Cut, serve, and enjoy!
