Pumpkin Swirl Brownies
Ingredients
1 stick butter, melted and cooled
1 ½ cups white granulated sugar
1 tablespoons vanilla extract
3 eggs
1 cup flour
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup cocoa powder
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
½ cup chocolate chips
Steps
Line a 8 by 8 inch square baking dish with some tin foil and thoroughly grease the lined dish
To a mixing bowl, add 1 ½ cups sugar, 1 tablespoon vanilla extract, and 1 stick of melted butter, cooled slightly
Add 3 eggs, 1 at a time, stirring between each addition until all combined
Stir in 1 cup flour and ¼ teaspoon salt
Spoon out half the batter into a separate bowl
Add ½ cup cocoa powder to one half of the batter and stir to combine
To the other half of the batter, mix in 1 cup pumpkin puree, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg
Pour out half of the chocolate brownie batter into the pre-greased baking dish
Spread the batter smooth across the bottom of the dish ensuring the chocolate covers the whole pan
Next pour out all the pumpkin batter on top of the bottom brownie layer and spread the pumpkin batter smooth
Spoon small dollops of the remaining chocolate brownie batter all over the top of the pumpkin layer
Use a butter knife to pull the chocolate dollops together with the pumpkin and create a swirled appearance
Sprinkle about a half cups worth of chocolate chips all over the top of the pumpkin swirled brownies
Bake the pumpkin swirl brownies at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 to 50 minutes
Remove the pumpkin brownies from the oven and allow to cool completely before serving
