Simple Romaine Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 head of romaine lettuce

  • 1 cucumber

  • Handful of cherry tomatoes

  • 5 radishes

  • Feta cheese

  • Salad dressing

Steps

  1. Start by removing all the lettuce leaves from the lettuce head (discard any brown, decaying leaves)

  2. Thoroughly wash each lettuce leaf under cool running water and place on cutting board to dry out

  3. Gently shake excess water from each leaf over the sink and break off small pieces of lettuce into a large bowl. Continue doing this until all lettuce has been added to the bowl

  4. Wash and cut a cucumber in half on the cutting board

  5. Cut cucumber into ⅛ to ¼ of an inch thick slices

  6. Depending on the size of the cucumber, halve or quarter the slices before adding them to the salad

  7. Wash the radishes and cut off the top and bottom part of the radish

  8. Thinly slice the radishes and add them to the salad bowl

  9. Wash a handful of cherry tomatoes, cut them in half, and add them to the salad bowl

  10. Gently toss the salad with your hands to distribute the cucumber, radishes, and tomatoes with the lettuce

  11. Add in some chunks of feta cheese

  12. Drizzle the salad dressing on top of the salad

  13. Toss the salad again with tongs to distribute the feta and dressing and serve
