Sour Cream Biscuits
Ingredients
2 cups flour
¾ cup sour cream
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking soda
3 teaspoons baking powder
3 to 4 tablespoons water
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon dried herbs (eg., oregano, thyme, etc.)
Steps
Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder
Add in the sour cream and mix until mixture becomes clumpy
Stir in shredded cheese and herbs
Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing just until mixture comes together.
Add additional water if necessary
Scoop dough onto baking sheet placing about 2 inches apart (dough should make 10 to 12 biscuits)
With well floured hands, shape dough into round biscuit shapes
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, just until biscuits start to brown
