Spinach & Artichoke Dip with Dough Balls

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces fresh spinach

  • 1 14-ounce can artichoke hearts

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided use

  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese

  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

  • Pizza dough (see Beer Dough recipe here!)


Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit

  2. Thoroughly wash and dry 8 ounces of fresh spinach

  3. Coarsely chop spinach leaves and add to a large bowl

  4. Drain can of artichokes, coarsely chop, and add to bowl with spinach

  5. Combine remaining ingredients, softened cream cheese, sour cream, ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese, grated parmesan cheese, minced garlic, salt and pepper, in bowl

  6. Mix ingredients thoroughly to combine and distribute cheeses

  7. Line a 9 inch by 13 inch baking dish with parchment paper

  8. Pinch half inch sized pieces of pizza dough and gently form into round balls

  9. Surround the pan with the dough balls, only spreading out 2 rows but forming 2 layers on top

  10. Spread the spinach and artichoke dip within the dough balls in the pan

  11. Cover with the remaining mozzarella cheese

  12. Bake 25 to 30 minutes minutes at 375 degrees Fahrenheit

  13. Serve and enjoy
