Vodka Sauce
Ingredients
14 ounces tomato sauce
1 cup vodka
1 cup heavy cream
½ medium onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced (2 teaspoons)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons butter
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Red pepper flakes, to taste
Steps
Sauté onion and garlic in butter and oil over medium heat, until soft
Remove pan from heat carefully pour in vodka
Return pan to heat and cook and reduce for 5 minutes
Pour in tomato sauce and stir until thoroughly combined
Reduce heat to low and add in heavy cream, stir to combine
Sprinkle in red pepper flakes and add salt and pepper to taste
Add the sauce to your favorite pasta or on top of a pizza!
